| Activity description: | A detailed document recommends that national,state and local government software procurement policies in all countries adhere to five fundamental principles including: 1)Choice is paramount for sound software investment decisions 2)Choice among competing software assets should be based on economic considerations 3)Governments must ensure full transparency in the procurement of software assets 4)Government procurement of software must be consistent with international trade norms and 5)Government procurement of software must respect international norms governing intellectual property. |
