| Activity description: | Cisco has provided expert resources to help GeSCI establish its strategy and organization in 2003/04. This has included: a) extensive inputs into the UN ICT Task Force feasibility study; b) consultancy to GeSCI in the planning of their Service Portfolio, their Partnership Framework and their initial Programme/budget; c) positioning GeSCI (with McKinsey & Co) as a partner in the Jordan Education Initiative (JEI) to help codify the JEI model for replication in other countries; and d) ongoing collaboration with GeSCI in assessing the feasibility of re-using elements of the JEI model (i.e. the public/private partnership, e-Curricula content, training and technology solutions) in several countries (e.g. India, Egypt and Namibia). |
