The Cisco / Oxfam Partnership helping to unlock the potential of web technology. website of the activity |
| Activity description: | Oxfam International began to explore the possibilities of working with Cisco in 2002 to use the huge knowledge that Oxfam has in new and more effective ways to drive forward its mission. It was crucial for Oxfam that any form of co-operation with Cisco would have to be a partnership and not sponsorship. “For a charity, this is very important because it determines the nature of the relationship and the extent to which we can help each other”. Oxfam already had Internet connectivity tools and, as a result, was receptive to Cisco helping it unlock the potential of web technology. |
