| Activity description: | The Humanitarian Skills Register: a worldwide online search tool for key humanitarian worker availability. The modification of an existing HR application, in use at Oxfam GB, into a global Humanitarian Skills Register to hold details of key skills and experiences of potential humanitarian workers. This allows Oxfam to search online for people with the right skills and the right experience for short-term posts, often at short notice. The solution was based on modifications to the existing Oxfam HR application, an online recruitment tool called i-grasp. Flexible fields were introduced to enable searching against specific skills and availability. |
