Eng. Amr Mebarez is the Response Center Manager at the Oman Computer Emergency Readiness Team (OCERT), which works as the national CERT for Sultanate of Oman. He is responsible for leading and managing the incident response team beside maintaining professional relations and quality of services provided to all OCERT constituencies (Public, Government, Private sector, CNI, local low enforcements & International bodies). Also, he delivers cyber security training & awareness workshops.

In addition, Amr is currently handling the operation of the ITU-Regional Cyber security Centre (ITU-RCC) for the Arab region which is hosted, managed and operated by OCERT.

Eng. Amr is having about twelve years of experience in Information Security, information technology and project management as well, and he worked in many different domains like financial sector, telecommunications and also international relation & trade, as he was the acting director for Oman National Enquiry Point and Information Centre (NEPIC) at Oman Ministry of commerce.

He holds a Bachelor Degree in computer science and management technology from Modern Academy, Egypt.
