Mr. Armando Cabral is a Director in the Lisbon and Luanda Offices of McKinsey & Company, having joined in 1996. He is part of the leadership of the McKinsey Africa Council and of the Telecom Leadership Group for Europe, Africa and Middle East.
Throughout his career, Armando has worked extensively in Africa, in countries like Angola, Morocco, Senegal and Algeria and he is currently leading the recently created McKinsey Office in Luanda.
Armando specializes in consumer topics, and in particular in product design and pricing issues in Telecoms. His recent telecoms work in Europe, Africa and Latin America includes supporting clients in developing mobile voice and internet pricing strategies, fixed-mobile convergent offers, residential triple-play and FTTH rollout strategies, ICT and cloud strategies in the enterprise segment and international M&A in the Telecoms space.
Beyond Telecoms, Armando work in Africa includes a broad range of economic development topics across multiple sectors, working with Governments to accelerate growth trajectories, improve public sector policies and turnaround state owned companies.
Before joining McKinsey, he worked for 2 years in London in a leading management-consulting firm.
Armando Cabral holds a Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Oporto University, and a MSc. in Operational Research from Warwick University
