Dr. Laurent Yoon is an Associate Partner based in McKinsey's Seoul office and a leader of Asia TMT (Technology, Media, Telecom) Practice focusing on networks and data monetisation topics. Since joining the firm in 2005, Laurent has worked with regional and global telecom clients in EMEA and Asia on key strategic topics such as 3G/4G network optimisation, spectrum portfolio, and data monetisation through value adding services beyond connectivity. Besides client work, he has supported organising global conferences in technology and lectured at local graduate schools on strategy and M&A in high-tech industry.
Prior to McKinsey, Laurent was the Head of Strategy and Business Planning at Ace Technology, a Korea-based global network equipment ODM, where he led organic and inorganic growth initiatives as well as operational improvement programs in Korea and China.
Laurent holds undergraduate and doctorate degrees from the University of Southern California and lives with his family in Seoul.
