UNESCO is United Nations agency working in the fields of education, sciences, culture, and communication and information.
UNESCO, through its pavilion at ITU Telecom World 2009 aims at showing how UNESCO, with its partners, is taking action in empowering people with disabilities through effective utilization of ICTs. The pavilion's space is also for mobilization of new action-oriented partnerships and furthering cooperation among various stakeholders. UNESCO envisages a number of events such as case presentations on specific themes, private meetings with partners and workshops.
