GUIDELINES FOR FORUM SESSION PARTICIPANTS

Special offer for Telecom 99: Try a Palm VTM organiser for FREE

To ensure your participation in the Forum, the Forum Division has adopted the following working methods with regard to all Participants:
  1. Issue of invitation letter by ITU Secretary-General, Mr. Yoshio Utsumi, together with a reply coupon to return requesting confirmation of your participation.

  2. Upon receipt of the Reply Coupon, issue of confidential username and password to allow access to a secure part of the TELECOM website containing Guidelines for Participants and Guidelines for Electronic Submission of your final manuscript. ALL Forum Participants are encouraged to submit a final manuscript of 5000-6,000 words by the deadline of midnight Geneva time, 20 August 1999.

  3. As soon as all Participants have confirmed their participation the Forum Division will issue a letter/e-mail message to all Chairpersons, Moderators and Rapporteurs attaching a list of the contact details of Participants in their particular session. This is to enable the Chairperson to initiate contact and to communicate the planning of his/her session according to the issued Guidelines.

  4. Panelists will also receive a reminder to submit their 6 questions to both their Chairperson and the Forum Division (for our files). Please refer to the relevant page in the Guidelines for Forum Participants.

  5. During September you will also be able to access a Final Information Document.
This document will contain all information pertaining to the Forum Participants to Geneva and to their participation in the TELECOM 99
event – in particular, speaker registration, details of audio-visual support and rehearsals, as well as instructions for attending the breakfast briefing sessions on the day of their session.
