The ITU Council instructed the Council Working Group on the WSIS to prepare proposals on how ITU should further adapt itself to the Information Society and the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) environment (Council Resolution 1244).

• 'Membership Forum' (for members and associates only)

  ITU Member States, Sector Members and Associates are invited to submit their inputs on this issue to the Council Working Group on WSIS for consideration.
   

• 'Open Forum'

  Scholars, academicians, universities, forums, private sector, NGOs, and telecom and ICT professionals are invited to participate in brainstorming for ideas on how ITU could further meet the requirements of the Information Society.
