Passports and visa requirements
Every foreign national traveling to Turkey must be in possession of a valid passport.

For complete details of visa requirements, participants are advised to consult the web site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey at: www.mfa.gov.tr/mfa. Enquiries can also be addressed to a Turkish Embassy or Consulate in countries of residence. If a visa is required, participants are requested to obtain this official document prior to traveling to Turkey. The following documents should be submitted to the Turkish Embassy or Consulate when applying for a visa. Other documents may be required in certain countries:

  1. Photocopy of invitation letter sent to your Government (or Observer organization/entity as appropriate)
  2. Note verbal from your Government (or Observer organization/entity as appropriate) certifying your participation in the Conference.

The host country will take appropriate measures to issue visas and entry permits, where required, free of charge and swiftly. In exceptional circumstances, arrangements shall also be made to ensure that visas and entry permits are delivered at relevant points of entry in Turkey to participants of those countries who do not have a Turkish embassy or consulate.
