Following the Forum on ICT and
Gender: Optimizing Opportunities held on 23rd August 2003 in Malaysia as
well as the outcome of Women’s World 2005 to be held between June 19 and
24 2005 in Korea, this as a preparatory meeting for the WSIS2005
discusses on ICTs & Gender mainly focusing on e-Governance and Digital
Solidarity Fund from the gender perspectives of various stakeholders
from international organization, NGOs to academia.
This
Forum
especially calls upon government representatives and various
stakeholders participating at the WSIS to take into
consideration its discussions and recommendations in the Declaration of
Principles and Plan of Action to be adopted at the WSIS 2005 and beyond.
