Simon Willis is vice president of
the Cisco Internet Business Solutions Group (IBSG). IBSG works
with many of the world's leading companies and governments to
help them become more effective through changed business
processes and intelligent technology deployment.
Willis came to Cisco after 15 years of work in government and
e-business. He has held various senior management and policy
positions in the UK government including private secretary to
Minister of State, head of operational reform at the Department
of Social Security, head of pension's equalization and Chief
Executive of a national disability agency. He ran the Financial
Crime Branch at the UK Treasury and also headed numerous UK
delegations to the EU, UN and OECD. After leaving government he
worked for a large systems integrator where he worked mainly on
transformational ebusiness projects in the financial services
area.
Simon's focus is on managing and further building a global
team that can work as trusted advisors to senior levels of large
public sector organizations where transformation is imminent or
there is the potential for ground breaking projects likely to be
emulated by others. The Internet Business Solutions Group does
not charge its customers. The group's current engagements
include Governments of US, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, India,
Australia, China, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Germany,
France, UK, Russia, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Morocco, Romania,
Poland, Bulgaria and Hungary.
Simon is an Australian who has a first class degree in
Politics, Philosophy & Economics from Balliol College Oxford. He
is married and has four children. |
