Realization of a Telecommunication Architecture Study throughout the PAEW Service Area
PAEW
The Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW) of Oman requested Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers for Consultancy Services for a financial and technical study for a new telecommunication architecture. The existing PAEW Water System Network include components such as reservoirs, pumping stations, transmission and distribution pipelines, and district metering points, distributed over the whole Omani territory. PAEW proposes to integrate these components and monitor or control their operation on a regional basis through regional SCADAs. The whole country was managed from the Country Control Room (CCR) in Muscat. The CCR will be used by PAEW to take decisions, especially under emergency circumstances. The Scope of Work includes technical and financial studies for: Securing existing communication networks according to asset criticality; Upgrading regional telecommunication networks; Creating communication accesses for assets with no existing communication media; Interconnecting the regional SCADA to the national CCR; Setting a national communication supervision to monitor and manage all PAEW networks.
National implementation: Iran (Islamic Republic of)
Ongoing from 08/01/2011 to 02/01/2014
