Program Celik ICT

The ICT Savviness Program, also known as Program Celik ICT, is a program aimed at enhancing digital literacy among village residents so that they may leverage on the transformative power of ICT and the Internet to market their village-made products and handicrafts. Program Celik ICT is provided free of charge, and runs for 3 days, and introduces participants to the basics of website development. Among the topics covered are basic web design, colour theory and how to storyboard their website. The workshop is customized to cater to the basic ICT literacy levels of the participants, and is run by selected training providers as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility. The main aim of the program is to enable Village Consultative Councils, also known as Majlis Perundingan Kampong or MPK, to be able to market their products and handicrafts on their website in order to expand their reach to potential customers, both locally and internationally.
