IT Capability Management
CapableIT
IT Capability Management is a program that helped SASO IT department to develop and manage targeted employees’ capabilities to execute IT department Strategic objectives. The IT Capability Management system, named CapableIT, was build based on a model for describing and managing competencies for ICT professionals known as the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA), which intended to help match the skills of the workforce to the needs of the organization. IT Capability Management system automates the stages of capability management which are, organize, acquire, deploy, assess, develop, appraise, and reward. The IT Capability Management system was a great help to SASO IT department and it has been heavily used since its lunch date mostly because the great benefits it provides and the great user experience with it. SASO’s IT Department and SASO’s HR department are currently working together to take the system to the next step where the entire organization can benefit from the system and not only the IT department.
