Global Change Research Data Publishing, Repository and Sharing
GCdataPR
The GCdataPR is a data publishing and shairng platform on global environment change in either global, regional, national or local scales. It was established in June 2014 by Institute of Geographic Sciences and Naturual Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Geogrpahical Society of China, and partenrs from JKUAT, Kenya, South African Univeristy as well as 36 professonal journals. More than 340 datasets from 500+ scintists and data providers from 11 countries were published. All of these dataset is openly available to be donwloaded. More than 250,000 IP users and almost 700,000 visitors from 74+ countries downloaded the data (updated on 26 December 2017). The GCdataPR was awarded the special contribution award by the Big Data Stanlanzation Committee of China and one of the Top 50 of Big Data Cases of China in 2016 (the only one in education and academic) , Best Practice in the 1st UN World Data Forum (2017 Capetown), Best Practice in the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS, 2017, Washington, D. C.). It is recognized the new milestone of research data sharing in China.
