Description *
IMSS Digital is the strategy that the Mexican Institute for Social Security, the Ministry of Public Administration and the Coordination for the National Digital Strategy have been implementing since 2013. The main objective of IMSS Digital is to improve the quality of its health and social security services through the digitalization of its formalities and internal processes. In alignment with the National Digital Strategy, IMSS Digital has benefited more than 79 million persons. It also has generated savings for the Institute users that reach almost 5 billion pesos, measured in opportunity cost. IMSS Digital aims to rebuild the biggest institution for social security and health services in Mexico. This is directly linked to the Sustainable Development Goal 16: “Promote just, peaceful and inclusive societies”.
