Kallyani
The objective of this project is to scale up an award winning proven model named “Kallyani”, designed and developed by pioneering social enterprise Dnet (www.dnet.org.bd); and currently being operated by Infolady Social Enterprise Limited (iSociaL). It is to be noted that this model is currently being replicated in other countries beyond Bangladesh. Specific objectives of the project are: (i) Creating women self-employment in rural Bangladesh (ii) Connecting rural communities to national and global markets through the network of Kallyanis (iii) Reaching out the last-mile for delivery of public goods and safety-net benefits at the doorsteps in remote areas (iv) Significant improvement of health and well-being of adolescent girls and women (v) Connecting rural youth to opportunities (soft skills development, jobs, training etc) available in urban areas and abroad (vi) Creating a vigilance and support network for violence against women (vii) Educating rural youth with modern ICTs (viii) Enhancing income opportunities of rural small farmers by facilitating access to modern agricultural technologies (ix) Creating last-mile internet connectivity for rural citizens
