Description *
Community Health Workers (CHWs) are essential to fill human resources for health gaps in Africa. Training empowers them to deliver health services to communities. LEAP is a leading mLearning solution for CHWs developed 4 years ago through a cross-sector partnership with Amref, Accenture, and the Vodafone Group. It delivers training through SMS and Audio across all geographies using basic phone technology. It has reached over 20,000 CHWs, with preliminary M&E data showing strong outcomes such as improved Antenatal Clinic visits by 26% and increased immunization coverage by 25%. Leap transitioned into a social enterprise and is scaling to other countries.
