Information about the project
Zero Mothers Die
“Zero Mothers Die” is a multi-stakeholder global initiative to reduce maternal and newborn mortality through the systematic use of mobile technologies and ICTs to increase women’s access to healthcare and information and to build the capacity of frontline health care workers to improve the maternal, newborn and child care. The project supports the SDGs 3. Good Health and Well-Being, 4. Quality Education, 5. Gender Equality, 10. Reduced Inequalities, 17. Partnerships. As 300,000 women die every year of pregnancy-related complications, Zero Mothers Die targets 100,000 pregnant women at high risk by leveraging mobile technology solutions, achieved through the Zero Mothers Die App.
