Mobile Taleem
Description *
Development in Literacy’s Mobile Taleem significantly enhances conventional teacher training programs by providing in-service teachers with the resources they need to deepen their content knowledge. A product of DIL’s extensive expertise in education and designed in collaboration with local teachers, Mobile Taleem features more than 150 localized lessons focused on learning needs of teachers and students in Pakistan’s least developed areas, accessible through mobile smart technology. In the pilot, average growth among teachers was 47%, signaling tremendous potential for improving quality of teaching and learning, particularly in marginalized areas. DIL is scaling Mobile Taleem to reach 2,000 teachers and 40,000 students in 2017.
