IPTV Services Deployment with ITU-T H.764
Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) services are multimedia services such as television/video/audio/text/graphics/data delivered over IP-based networks managed to support the required level of QoS/QoE, security, interactivity and reliability. IPTV service providers provide live TV, time-shifted TV, Video on Demand (VoD), news, games, education and etc. China Telecom Corporation (CTC) started its IPTV services trial as a service and network provider since 2005. Till August 2013, CTC has deployed its IPTV services all over China with 25 million public and enterprise subscribers. CTC’s IPTV services are now the symbol of Chinese ICT industry, which provide a total new solution for TV-based interactive multimedia services.
