Information about the project
The Commonwealth Connects Portal
The Portal aims to share the common ICT wealth of the Commonwealth. The wealth of technical and human capital within the Commonwealth is incomparable and can be creatively tapped such that it can benefit the cause of social and economic development of member states. The Portal functionalities include dissemination and access to primary communications (news, announcements, hosting member country ICT initiatives), it serves as a forum for stakeholders (with free software, best practices, research findings), it is a primary medium for data collection and skills exchange, and provides a ‘matching’ function between donors and project applicants (project marketplace). The Portal ensures that users are easily able find information and access to services and expertise across the Programme's five areas of focus.
International implementation
Ongoing from
ComSec, CBC, COMNET-IT, CTO, COL, CBA, Commonwealth Foundation, Malta, Mozambique, Trinidad & Tobago
