Cisco Networking Academy Program Volunteerism
Description *
United Nations Volunteers and the US Peace Corps work collaboratively with the Cisco Networking Academy Program to design project assignments for Volunteers at Networking Academies around the world tailoring projects according to the Academies’ local needs and each volunteer’s core competencies and interests. Volunteers assist the Academies to develop strategic plans to enable them to achieve the objectives of the LDC and ITC Initiatives, with particular regard to female participation. In addition, the volunteers encourage the regular exchange of technical resources to enhance program impact and sustainability, and to assist the Academies to mobilize and empower local community leaders and private industry to support ICT education and local capacity-building.
