Regional Initiative on the Use of New Technologies for Poverty Alleviation
This pilot project tackles the following: (a) enhancing quality of life; (b) creating employment and empowering people through the development of community access points such as Multipurpose Technology Community Centres; (c) fostering small and micro enterprises (SMEs) through ICT to increase capacity and productivity; and (e) combating ICT illiteracy and building indigenous ICT skills.
