Information Highway in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS)
In order to strengthen communications as well as economic and trading relations between the Southeast Asian countries and China, China Telecom has proposed to build an information highway by connecting some proposed fiber optic cables with some existing cables in the Mekong River Basin so as to provide all kinds of telecom services.
