The Arab Strategy for Informatics
Description *
ALECSO has given much attention to the fact that ICT applications in all aspects of life is a necessary condition for the realization of the overall sustainable development from as early as 1990. That year witnessed the publication of the Arab strategy for Informatics relevant to conditions at that era. Due to the ultra-fast changes imposed by the continueous development of ICT in all walks of life, the Arab Ministers of Higher Education and Research called for ALECSO (Department of Science and Scientific Reseach) to renew the Arab strategy for Informatics, in cooperatipn with the Arab governmental institutions responsible for science policies and legislations. The strategy , which was recently published in the year- 2004-, is now being considered as a basis for contiueous programmes to be executed by ALECSO ( Department of Science and Scientific Research).
