WSIS+10 High-Level Event HLE
		
		
		The WSIS+10 High-Level Event was an extended version of the WSIS 
		Forum. The Event was held in the ITU Headquarters, Geneva from 
		10–13 June 2014 (9 June pre-events). It is designed to review 
		the progress made in the implementation of the WSIS outcomes 
		under the mandates of participating agencies, and to take stock 
		of achievements in the last 10 years based on reports of WSIS 
		Stakeholders, including those submitted by countries, Action 
		Line Facilitators and other stakeholders.
		
	 
	
	
		WSIS Forum 2013
		
		
		The WSIS Forum 2013 was held from the 
		13–17 May 2013 at the ITU Headquarters in Geneva. The 
		2013 Forum attracted more than 1800 WSIS Stakeholders from more 
		than 140 countries. Several high-level representatives of the 
		wider WSIS Stakeholder community graced the Forum with more than 
		60 ministers and deputies, several ambassadors, CEOs and Civil 
		Society leaders contributing passionately towards the programme 
		of the Forum.
		
	 
	
	
		WSIS Forum 2012
		
		
		The WSIS Forum 2012 was held from 14–18 May 2012 in Geneva, 
		Switzerland. The Forum provided structured opportunities to 
		network, learn and to participate in multi-stakeholder 
		discussions and consultations on WSIS implementation. The Forum 
		was hosted by the ITU and jointly organized by ITU, UNESCO, 
		UNCTAD and UNDP. The Forum took place at the ILO Conference 
		Center. This event built upon the tradition of annual WSIS May 
		meetings, and its new format is the result of open consultations 
		with all WSIS Stakeholders. The Forum attracted more than 1300 
		WSIS Stakeholders from more than 140 countries.
		
	 
	
	
	
		WSIS Forum 2011
		
		
		WSIS Forum 2011 was held from 16–20 May 2011 in Geneva. The 
		Forum was hosted by ITU and jointly organized by ITU, UNESCO, 
		UNCTAD and UNDP. Action Line Facilitators from various UN 
		agencies, regional commissions, the private sector, governments 
		and civil society not only reported and assessed their own 
		efforts towards WSIS implementation and follow-up, but also 
		shared their future plans to achieve the targets set in the WSIS 
		Outcome documents. Programme of the Forum consisted of more than 
		100 sessions structured in 12 different types of meetings in 6 
		parallel streams.
		
	 
	
	
		WSIS Forum 2010
		
		
		WSIS Forum 2010 was held from 10 to 14 of May 2010 at the ITU 
		Headquarters, Geneva, Switzerland. This event built upon the 
		tradition of annual WSIS May meetings, and its new format was 
		the result of open consultations with all WSIS Stakeholders. The 
		Forum offered participants the opportunity to address critical 
		issues to the WSIS Implementation and follow-up in 
		multistakeholder set ups.
		
	 
	
	
		WSIS Forum 2009
		
		
		WSIS Forum 2009 was held from 18 to 22 May 2009, at the ITU 
		Headquarters, Geneva, Switzerland. The Forum offered 
		participants a series of diverse meetings, including high-level 
		panels addressing critical issues to the WSIS implementation and 
		follow-up, WSIS action line facilitation meetings, thematic 
		workshops, kick-off meetings for new initiatives and projects, 
		speed-exchanges facilitating networking among the participants, 
		and the others.
		
	 
	
	
	
		
			Cluster of WSIS-related events, 
			
			2006–2008, Geneva
			Clusters of events related to the 
			implementation of the WSIS Action Lines where held in May 
			from 2006–2008. Action Line Facilitators held multistakeholder meetings to take the WSIS

			Two Phase Summit
			
			2003, Geneva – 2005, Tunis
			The World Summit on the Information Society was 
			held in two phases. The first phase took place in 
			Geneva from 10 to 12 
			December 2003. The second phase of WSIS took place in Tunis
