Tuesday, September 26, 2017, 2:45 PM - 4:00 PM, Room 101-102

Artificial intelligence increasingly enables machines to perform tasks previously thought to rely on human experience and creativity and to move beyond human capacity in analysing the tremendous volumes of data generated by smart technologies. AI-powered research and analysis has huge potential to create value throughout the financial sector, from fund allocation to trading financial assets, wealth management and dealing with regulatory challenges. What are the benefits and challenges of applying AI to financial services to improve accuracy, transparency and efficiency? How can AI help organizations deal with complex and resource-consuming regulatory and compliance issues? Can AI help to ensure that global development funds are allocated effectively, appropriately and efficiently? How can AI analysis provide better insight and guidance on fund allocation, financial trading and distribution in wealth management? What are the ethical, regulatory and security implications of increasing the role of AI in the financial sector? This session will look at how the use of AI and innovative ICT solutions will impact the financial sector.
