Ms. Rosarita Niken Widiastuti
Mrs. Rosarita Niken Widiastuti, or nicknamed Mrs. Niken is currently the Secretary General of Ministry of Communication and Informatics, Indonesia.
She has just been inaugurated as Secretary General of MIC in late January 2019. Prior to being a Secretary General of MIC, Mrs. Niken was the Director General of Public Communication and Information of MIC, since 14 March 2016. Before she joined MIC, Mrs. Niken was elected as the first ever President from Indonesia of the Asia Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) in 2012.
She then elevated her career through her role as the President Director of Radio of the Republic of Indonesia (RRI), the one and only state-owned radio broadcasting institution in Indonesia, within which she was appointed as the first ever woman in Indonesia to become its President Director. Mrs. Niken was born in Yogyakarta, on 30 October 1960, and is marriedwith 2 children. She also graduated from Faculty of Social Sciences and Politics, University of Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, Indonesia (Bachelor and Masters degrees).
