Tze Yun Leong is professor of the Practice of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore and the Director of AI Technology of AI.SG. AI.SG is a national program that catalyzes, synergizes, and boost artificial intelligence capabilities to power the digital economy in Singapore. Her research interests include the use of decision-theoretic concepts in artificial intelligence and the nature of reasoning and learning as change occurs in complex environments, especially in biomedical and health informatics, and smart cities settings. She is also an Associate Editor of Applied Clinical Informatics and has over 150 publications.
Prior to AI.SG, she served on the program committees of major international conferences in artificial intelligence and biomedical informatics, including IJCAI, UAI, PRICAI, MEDINFO, and AMIA. She is an elected Fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics (ACMI) and a founding Member of the International Academy of Health Sciences Informatics (IAHSI).
She received her SB, SM, and PhD degrees from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA.
