| Description |
Three Wireless IP projects (Bulgaria, Uganda, Yemen) have been selected by the TSSC to pilot the use of Wireless IP technology for facilitating access in remote and rural areas to basic communications, Internet and to support a variety of specific applications (telemedecine, teleeducation, etc). The project in Bulgaria extends an existing network of telecentres around the rural town of Septemvri. Emphasis is placed on telemedecine applications using blood presure meters and electrocardiographs. Eight new villages/sites are connected to Septemvri Medical Emergency Center. |
