IJMA3-The Arab ICT Organization

The Arab ICT Organization, its Arabic name, IJMA3 was formed with the belief and determination that it will accelerate the process of development in the Arab countries since it links the most prominent ICT associations of the region together. IJMA3 is a leader in harnessing ICT toward the broad-based development needs of local communities especially in areas such as: Workforce development, Educational services, Business incubation, Professional training, Community ICT centers and ICT Camps among others. The founding members include the ICT associations of: Morocco, Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, and Lebanon. Syria, Bahrain, Tunisia, Algeria, Iraq, Kuweit, Saudi Arabia and Sudan have subsequently joined the organization, bringing the total number of members to thirteen.

Nizar Zakka is internationally-recognized expert in information and communications technology (ICT) policy, investment and expansion, with more than 20 years of experience representing the ICT sector in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region, and around the world. Results-focused organizational leadership and growth, positioning IJMA3 as the key ICT sector representative for over 90% of the Arab world. Nizar Zakka has an extensive personal knowledge of Arab ICT sector and ICT for Development, through private sector advocacy and experience initiating and implementing development projects.  Global reputation for providing innovative public policy and program solutions, technical support and leadership in all aspects of the information technology and telecommunications sectors, as well as ICT for development programming.
