Pakistan Mobile Communications Limited (“Mobilink”) provides cellular telecommunication services. It engages in the installation, operation, and maintenance of GSM cellular network. In Pakistan, Mobilink started its operations in 1994. In 2001, Orascom Telecom Holding S.A.E. took over management control of Pakistan Mobile Communications Limited. As the market leader, Mobilink serves is representing a market share of 38.5% (as of March 2008). The company also offers prepaid and postpaid cellular services. Pakistan Mobile Communications Ltd. is based in Islamabad. As the market leader, Mobilink serves over 33 million subscribers (as of June 2011).

Rashid Naseer Khan

Mr. Rashid Naseer Khan has been Chief Executive Officer and President of Pakistan Mobile Communications Ltd. since December 1, 2008. Mr. Khan has been Chief Executive Officer of Mobilink - Pakistan at Orascom Telecom Holding S.A.E since December 2008. He has been Managing Director of Banglalink since July 2006. Mr. Khan served as Chief Executive Officer of banglalink at Orascom Telecom Holding S.A.E from August 1 , 2006 to January 2009 and served as its Managing Director since July 20, 2006. He served as an Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Mobilink, a subsidiary of Orascom Telecom Holdings (OTH) from 2003 to 2006. Mr. Khan has vast management experience in telecommunications, IT, and other technologies. Mr. Khan served with various international companies such as Intel's subsidiary, Chips and Technologies and a number of start ups, in Silicon Valley for almost 15 years, where he acquired extensive working experience in developed markets. Mr. Khan is an Engineer and holds an MS degree in Electrical Engineering from the United States, specializing in Telecommunications and Computers.
