Mr. Vitalie Iurcu was born on February 2nd 1972 in Orhei city, Republic of Moldova and graduated middle-school in the same city in 1989. He then applied in 1994 at Moldovan Academy of Economic Studies for the Faculty of Cybernetics and Economic Informatics, where after graduation he received a diploma in Engineering Economics with the specialization in Economic Informatics and Automated Systems of Administration.
After completing his higher education, in the period of 1994-2005, Mr. Iurcu has worked as a consultant, then evolved to senior positions, getting experience and contributing as a professional within different international financed Projects and organizations in Moldova such as: US Agency for International Development “Assistance Program for local private farmers”, TACIS and World Bank.
Working in a professional environment and in the same time continuing his self-improvement Mr. Iurcu receives his master’s degree in business administration from Newport University of USA, after a course of studies from 1998 to 2000.
In 2007 his career turns from consultancy within international projects to governmental sector which resulted to Mr. Iurcu’s appointment as the General Director of the National Energy Regulatory Agency, a state authority under the Prime Minister designed to regulate the energy sector of Moldova. Acting 2 years on this position Mr. Iurcu experienced a new domain, being the main actor representing the state in business sector of electricity, oil and gas.
On July 1st 2009, on the decision of the Board Council of Moldtelecom JSC, Mr. Vitalie Iurcu is appointed as the General Director (CEO) of the company, acting till present on this position. Under his management the company reached another upper level of development and increased its activity in local business market and launched the 3G network, IPTV services, HSPA+ services and has inaugurated the most productive Network Operating Center in the country.
Mr. Vitalie Iurcu is married and has 2 children.
