En 1993 se autorizó la constitución de la Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Cuba (ETECSA) y en 1994 se le otorgó la concesión administrativa para la prestación y comercialización de los servicios públicos de telecomunicaciones. Who they are
The FTTH Council Asia-Pacific is a non-profit organization established in 2005. The organization is building on the success of its sister organizations in the US and Europe to educate the industry and the general public on the opportunities and benefits of FTTH solutions. FTTH Council Asia-Pacific members represent all areas of broadband industries, including telecommunications, computing, networking, system integration, engineering and content-provider companies, as well as traditional telecommunications service providers, utilities and municipalities.

What does this mean?
Members have a forum to apply critical thinking to FTTH technologies and applications. Using member's inputs, they keep the organisation informed about industry trends, share success stories, and provide quality speakers through our speaker's bureau. Since 2005, MTN has been operating in Sudan connecting people and integrating societies. MTN Sudan has over 3 million subscribers and its network coves all of Sudan and provides all the 2G and 3G services. MTN-Sudan is currently market valued as a 650 million dollars investment and Larrycom for Investment owns 15% of it. In 2002 Larrycom for Investment won the license of the second GSM operator in Sudan jointly with a Yemeni business group.
