Registration and Fellowship requests

REGISTRATION

Registration is carried out in two steps:
  1. prior to the event (pre-registration) which is exclusively done online through Focal Points designated by each administration and entity entitled to participate in the meeting.
  2. during the event (onsite registration) which requires a letter of accreditation from the Designated Focal Point for those delegates who have not pre-registered. Pre-registered delegates will only need to bring their letter of confirmation and a photo ID.

You can register for multiple Rapporteur Group meetings at the same time. See the list of meetings here.

The role of a registration Focal Point is to handle registration formalities for his/her respective administration/entity.

The list of Focal Points can be accessed using a TIES log-in from the web page of each event to which a participant wishes to register.

To modify the contact details of a Focal Point for registration or to change the Focal Point, an official fax from an authorized official should be sent to the BDT Meetings Registration Service (+41 22 730 5545/+41 22 730 5484 or by e-mail to: bdtmeetingsregistration@itu.int), providing the updated details: last name, first name and e-mail address.

You will find registration details and all other logistical information such as accommodation and visa arrangements on the dedicated websites for the meetings.

FELLOWSHIPS

Eligibility

Within the budget available, fellowships may be granted to delegates from Least Developed Countries and developing countries1 with a GDP per capita less than 2'000 USD, with priority to Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and to those who present new contributions of direct relevance to the expected outputs of a given Question.

Air ticket and subsistence allowance

A full fellowship includes one return economy class air ticket by the most direct/economical route from the country of origin to the location of the meeting as well as a daily allowance to cover accommodation, meals and incidental expenses.

Due to budgetary constraints, the countries beneficiaries of a fellowship may have to contribute partly to the costs of the fellowship.

To request a fellowship

To request for a fellowship, you must first register online and tick the appropriate box on the form. Upon the acceptance of your registration, an electronic fellowship request form will be sent to the participant.

The fellowship request form should be filled out, signed and approved by a duly authorized officer of the administration who should also sign it and stamp it with the official stamp of the administration.

It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure that the form, duly completed, signed and approved, is returned before the deadlines given on the meeting's relevant web page. Requests for fellowships arriving after the deadlines will not be considered.

Once completed, the form can be either scanned and e mailed to bdtfellowships@itu.int OR faxed to + 41 22 730 5778.

Only requests that have fulfilled all conditions will be considered.

It is imperative that fellows be present from the first day to end of the meeting and participate during the entire fellowship period.
