Five regional preparatory conferences for Geneva's phase of the Summit took place in each of the regions of the world before PrepCom-2. The Regional Conferences addressed the specific concerns, needs and priorities of the various regions.

Pan European: 7-9 November 2002, Bucharest (Romania)

Asia-Pacific: 13-15 January 2003, Tokyo (Japan)

Latin America and Caribbean: 29-31 January 2003, Bávaro (Dominican Republic)

Western Asia: 4-6 February 2003, Beirut (Lebanon)
