ITU Library and Archives Internships

The ITU Library and Archives Service has an opening for interns.

Various opportunities are available for students seeking experience in a library and archives service in an international organization. Interns will be assigned to a project in different areas of specialization as described in the projects below.

ITU is the leading United Nations agency for information and communication technologies.  As the global focal point for governments and the private sector, ITU's role in helping the world communicate spans 3 core sectors: radiocommunication, standardization and development. ITU was the lead organizing agency of the World Summit on the Information Society.

The ITU Library and Archives Service acquires, preserves and provides access to a wide range of materials on telecommunications and related topics and on the history of ITU from 1865 to the present day. Our holdings include published works (print and electronic) and unique archival materials. We provide information and reference services to ITU staff, ITU members, and the general public. The ITU Library and Archives Service is part of the Information Services Department.

The Library and Archives Service offers a convenient working place, situated in the Montbrillant building, Place des Nations, Geneva. Interns work during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 - 18:00.
