“Female Internet Users” refers to the number of women using the Internet
compared to the total number of people using the Internet within a country. It
is calculated by dividing the number of female Internet users by the total
number of Internet users (as described in the Information technology column) and then multiplied by 100. The numbers on which the indicator is
based are derived from various sources, including national statistical agencies,
government reports and analysis, media analysis and other Internet surveys, such
as Nielsen/NetRatings.
