Summary: Recommendation ITU-T Y.3321 specifies the requirements and capability framework of S-NICE (Software defined Network Intelligence Capability Enhancement). NICE [ITU-T Y.2301] is an enhanced NGN (i.e. an evolved version of NGN) supporting extended or additional intelligent capabilities for provisioning of services according to requirements of users and application providers. S-NICE is a specific implementation of NICE making usage of software defined networking technologies, and its key objective is the identification of the NICE implementation requirements when relevant NICE features are supported by software defined networking technologies.
