Summary:
|
This document provides network and allied infrastructure requirements for multi-user telerobotics based services in developing countries that require application-layer frameworks for user’s role specific adaption of topologies and/or application-layer exchanges to ensure desired service experience for the users. It is observed that it would be non-trivial for a network to ensure guarantees for both low-latency and high bandwidth for the same application. Also, if such mechanisms are available with the communication service provider or operator providing the network infrastructure for this service, this will be available at high cost which will prohibitively increase the OPEX, especially for developing countries. A non-optimal choice of topology or protocol semantics at the application space will limit the achievable service experience. In this context, this document proposes such requirements as mentioned above to ensure optimized topological configurations on demand in synergy with the context of the user. As such measures are closely tied with the available network resources, the requirements cover the aspects which the network and the application-specific infrastructures, interfacing the network, need to satisfy.
