Work item: G.698.2 addition of 200G and 400G
Subject/title: Amplified multichannel DWDM applications with single channel optical interfaces
Status: Discontinued
Approval process: AAP
Type of work item: Recommendation
Version: Rev.
Equivalent number: -
Timing: -
Liaison: IEEE 802.3, OIF
Supporting members: ADVA, China Unicom, Ciena, Huawei, Keysight, Nokia, NTT, ZTE, CAICT
Summary: With the approval of IEEE standard 802.3bs, 200 and 400 Gbit/s Ethernet clients are starting to be carried over OTN networks defined in ITU-T SG15 Recommendations. This drives the need for multi-vendor interoperable DWDM optical interfaces at rates capable of carrying 200 and 400 Gbit/s Ethernet clients with similar reaches as for the 100 Gbit/s interfaces currently under development in Q6/15
