Summary: Existing accessibility standards were mostly developed through specific technology or specific service platforms. The interoperability and heterogeneous characteristics of IoT may create conflicting accessibility requirements when only platform specific accessibility requirements are considered. Therefore, accessibility requirements specific to the IoT service still exists even when all the platform specific accessibility requirements are met. By inheriting general ICT accessibility requirements and user needs defined elsewhere, this Recommendation is aim to fill the gap between the general ICT accessibility user needs and platform specific accessibility requirements, and provide accessibility requirements specific to IoT applications and services
