This Recommendation deals with planning and constructing buried telecommunication cables. It gives information about:
- the locations where earth potential rise (EPR) may occur;
- the duration of EPR in different types of power networks;
- "safe distances" between telecommunication cables and power installations;
- measures to be taken if the safe distance is not achieved.Reference is made to the Directives, Vol. II and III. |
