This report and CD-ROM package, the sixth in the New Initiatives Programme series, contains a summary of the input and conclusions, as well as the full body of presentations, background resources, case studies and related materials that were produced, of the workshop held by ITU in November 2002 on the subject of competition policy in telecommunications, bringing together different interested players and experts in the field. On the basis of country case studies, an ITU background paper, presentations and debate, the workshop looked at the relationship between competition law and telecommunication regulation, and identified a number of key issues. |
