On mission in the Americas

Mexico:
ITU staff travelled to Mexico, where we met with the Minister in Mexico City; took a first-hand look at Guadalajara, the venue for the forthcoming ITU Plenipotentiary Conference in October; and participated in CITEL's High-Level Forum.

San Diego:
In San Diego, California, we met with ITU partner Qualcomm and took part in a special CommNexus event aimed at local businesses and the media.

New York:
In New York it was a pleasure to meet with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and other high-level UN officials, and to inaugurate the ITU office in New York with our first official briefing to the Ambassador community at the UN.
