Since the Preliminary Wireless Telegraphy Conference in 1903 ITU has held over one hundred radiotelegraph and radiocommunications conferences. Throughout the history of ITU and its involvement with radiocommunications, many landmark decisions have been made at these conferences and hundreds of key documents and publications have been produced.
The History of ITU Portal Radiocommunications Collection will enable you to discover many of the documents and publications that resulted from the work of these conferences, as well as learn how ITU has evolved.
The Library & Archives Service of ITU invites you to use the ITU History Portal to explore and enjoy some highlights from ITU’s illustrious history by accessing a variety of information. Digitized historical documents and pertinent information can be found by choosing one of the links below:
Please note that the Radiocommuications Collection is currently a "work in progress." At this time, you will find documents and publications resulting from the early Radiotelegraph Conferences, as well as many of the recent World Administrative Radio Conferences (WARC) and World Radiocommunication Conferences (WRC). The ITU Library & Archives Service is continuing its work to digitize the documents of the remaining conferences and make them available via the History of ITU Portal as soon as possible.
