At this conference the regulations for the international service were revised and annexed to the International Telegraph Convention, St. Petersburg (1875).
The International Long-distance Telephone Consultative Committee (CCIF) and the International Telegraph Consultative Committee (CCIT) was created. As well, a committee for the study of code language, which met in Paris in 1925 and in Cortina d’Ampezzo (Italy) in 1926, was established. Provisions applicable to wire communications were extended to wireless communications.
Finally, the conference expressed the opinion that after the Radiotelegraph Conference due to be held in Washington in 1927, the Telegraph and Radiotelegraph Conventions should be merged into a single convention.
